The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue Review

The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue by V.E. Schwab

Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I had to give myself a few days to contemplate this review because this book really played with my heart and mind. There are so many elements of this novel that I absolutely loved, the writing is beautiful and it's such a compelling story. However, there are some elements and pieces that just didn't feel like they fit with the rest of the story. The ending did not sit right with me (and didn't seem plausible) and I felt more history/historic events/huge historical figures should have been mixed into the story a bit!

I think it definitely lives up to the massive hype around it and I really enjoyed it, but I didn't think it was the most amazing book I've ever read. If you are looking for a solid read, this is it but be prepared for some "meh" feelings 📚
